My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a 2 year old female Maltese/Shih Tzu mix. She has big, prominent eyes and short nose like a Shih Tzu along with a lovely soft, fluffy white non shedding coat of hair like a Maltese. Lucy does have some light tan on her ears and tail. She is a sturdy dog, weighing 12 ¾ lbs. Lucy behaves nicely in her foster home and gets along with other dogs. During quiet times she is content to nap in her pink dog bed. She is the kind of dog that wants to be by your side in the car or snuggled near you. Lucy was recently surrendered by a family who had rescued her from a previous owner. She was originally purchased by a breeder and lived in an apartment. Lucy had separation anxiety when she was left alone in the apartment. Due to separation anxiety and a move to a place that did not allow dogs, Lucy’s family left her with another family. Poor Lucy is seeking a family with time to enjoy her company. She would do best in a single family home (no shared walls). Since she enjoys the company of children, she would like a family with school age children. Lucy is healthy, has been spayed, has a microchip and her shots are current. We can't say enough good things about this sweet girl. Lucy is now ready for a forever family who will provide her with loving care.
