Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oreo is a wonderful, beautiful cat. She has an amazing, gorgeous full tail and really cool black and white tuxedo markings. I am sure you are wondering how a cat her age finds herself homeless? Tyson's Place Animal Rescue helps terminally ill people find new homes for their pets, and Oreo came to us after her owner had a series of debilitating strokes that left her unable to speak or think clearly. She had no family so her friends frantically searched for a place for Oreo to go but her age was discouraging them from finding her a place to go. Thankfully, they contacted us and we took her into our rescue. From the very first day, Oreo has been so gregarious - when we picked her up from her owner's apartment, she actually walked right up to us and cooperated while we placed her in her carrier. She LOVES people and loves being the center of attention. She enjoys being brushed and even purred while we trimmed her nails! She was great at the vet and even purred throughout her exam. She also really enjoys playing with toys too!
Don't let her age scare you away - she has years left to live. We did vaccinations, blood work, flea topical, urine check, and full bloodwork. She is perfectly healthy.
The owner's friends are hoping when the owner has a good day, they will be able to tell her that Oreo is being cared for by us. It would be even more amazing to be able to tell her that Oreo has found a permanent loving home with a person who has compassion for this special lady.
