Hi, my name is Amaya. I am a 1-year-old and a lab mix. When I was about 4 months old, I was abandoned in a remote area with my 6 siblings and only me and my brother Denali survived. A good Samaritan took us in to save our lives. Due to my background, I am still a bit anxious when I meet dogs or people, but my awesome foster family is teaching me that most dogs and people are actually quite nice, and I'm a quick learner. I get along well with others, am crate-trained and have learned to walk well on a leash. I love to be held and I love to cuddle. It takes me a little time to warm up to and trust new friends, but I’m working on that. I’m also working on potty training.
Amaya is looking for a moderately active home with another dog in it for her to play with and to teach her confidence, she is fine with older kids as well.
While Denali and Amaya love playing together, they need to be separated to grow and trust and learn, they each need a home with another dog in it that they can learn from.
