CharlieBrown - Lab Mix - Male - 3 yr - www.twyla.org
If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org
Meet Charlie Brown: Charlie is about 3 years old, and we think a Labrador/Catahoula Mix, he has the most lovely subtly spotted ears. He loves long walks in the park and being stroked gently on the ears. He’s shy at first, but once he knows you won’t leave your side or your lap. He was rescued after being feral outside running around the neighborhood with his girlfriend, Lucy ( who has also been rescued), for quite a while. Now that he’s tasted the kept life, he’s hooked and will never leave it, however a sturdy fence is required to keep him safe. He has a very sweet disposition, he gets along well with the fosters families other dogs - large and small - has quickly learned who he can play with and who he should stay away from (cough, cough - grumpy older dog , cough). He’s been properly leash trained and knows commands like sit, lay down, stay, and crate trained. He loves stuffed toys, and peanut butter his favorite treat.
Charlie Brown is looking for a home with another dog form him to play with and to learn from, he’d be best in a house with an experienced handler that can take him on walks daily. As he had spent a significant time on the run before he was rescued, he is still learning to trust humans as not all previous interactions have been kind, so an experienced, patient and kind handler is essential
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
