My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Plumber was left behind when his family moved. He is a handsome, tall tabby cat. Looks big but only weighs about 11 pounds. A nearby plumber rescued him.

Plumber doesn't like kennels and kitty condos or riding in the car, but he is very friendly. He walks up to strangers to be pet as soon as he feels comfortable. he doesn't seem to be terrified of dogs, but isn't thrilled with loud barking. He doesn't buddy up with other cats, but ignores them... no fighting. We have been told there was another cat left behind and he cried when first brought to us, so may have had a female friend in his prior home;

Plumber is healthy, tested negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS, and got a vaccination for upper respiratory diseases. He is ready for a loving, forever home!

Plumber was found on bathroom floor laying flat and breathing hard. Emergency hospital administered oxygen, an injection to calm him and an injection to remove fluids from heart. Even if they could save him he would probably die within 1-2 months by drowning in body fluids...painful death. i held and loved him as he passed peacefully. What a sweetheart!
Emergency vet said probably congenital heart condition, difficult to diagnose unless heart acts up while vet listening. Glad I could be with him. He was loved.
