Mitzi Is an older lady that her owner surrendered her to the shelter in horrific condition. Her fur was so matted that it was cutting off the circulation to one leg. Mitzi has had some time to adjust, heal and relax and she is now looking for a special home. Mitzi needs a home that is a little calm, one where there is not a lot of other dogs, and a lot of activity because let’s face it she’s a princess and she needs to sleep and rest and be cared for. She has been given all of her vaccines, she is spayed, microchiped , and heartworm negative. Mitzi is on a monthly heartworm preventative which a new owner will need to follow through with each month to prevent the infection of heartworm disease. Mitzi is located in Fort Myers, Florida she is being cared for in a foster home until she is able to find her permanent family . She is a very quiet little lady, she does not bark and she is learning to enjoy being held and cuddled. So if you are looking for someone to spend quality time with, maybe take short walks, or watch some TV with she may be just the dog you are looking for. Mitzi would be perfect for an apartment or condo with neighbors close by because she is very well mannered .
