My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Windy is a sweet, friendly Potcake from Turks & Caicos, and is available for adoption. Windy is smart and trainable and would make a terrific jogging partner. She loves chasing a ball and swimming, so she would be a terrific cottage dog. On the island she was trustworthy off leash and had good recall. Windy is house broken and will scratch at the door when she needs to go outside. She walks quite well on a leash but does want to approach and meet people. She definitely prefers females at first and craves human affection.
Her history was outdoor freedom during the day and house pet overnight, so she has not been left alone for a work day in the house. She has been fine for short durations so far, and has not shown any tendancy to be destructive but a work from home situation would be ideal for her.
She is great with other dogs, and a playmate could use up some of her energy and keep her occupied as she craves attention. Windy does seem to bark when she gets bored and wants some activity.
Windy is fully vetted, about 1-2 years old and weighs 47 lbs. We have no history with children or cats but older children would likely be fine.
She does have some puppy mouthing tendencies and could use some training as she does test her boundaries, but she is as sweet and social as you could want your dog to be.
