Able is an American Bulldog/Hound mix around 6 months old and weighing 45 lbs. He still needs to grow a bit more into those paws so he will likely be around 65-75lbs full grown and just that much more to love. Like so many dogs in the south, Able was found trying to live on his own in the streets. He was picked up and placed in the local animal shelter and as usual they were full. Life hangs in the balance even for really good boys so he was pulled by rescue and placed in a loving foster home where Able has shown what he is able to do. He is already crate trained and has done a fantastic job with his house training. Only 2 accidents to speak of in the beginning...not bad at all for any puppy much less a former street dog! Able does not meet a stranger whether you have one leg or four, hairy or smooth, human, dog, or cat he loves them all. He is great with kids, just wants to play and have fun. He can be a little hesitant or shy when on leash at first but he is getting more confident every day. Able everything you would want in a family member, friendly, sweet, playful, just all around happy go lucky. He's is an affectionate youngster who will share plenty of sweet puppy kisses which will one day be big boy kisses but kisses all the same. This darling pup loves all kinds of toys but balls and rope toys appear to be his favorites. He is also working on learning a few basic commands in his foster home so he can really impress his new family. Able is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. He I ready, willing, and ABLE to find his forever home with people who will always be there for him. He is waiting to know he is loved...what a glorious thing, a beautiful thing to be 'Able' to say.
PUPPIES GROW INTO the expectations of their families through consistent love, caring and training. Puppies cannot be adopted to homes where they are left alone for more than 3-4 hours. Families with children must have established boundaries for both the puppy and the children.
