My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marvin is a happy go lucky boy who’s about 2 years old and weighs 68 pounds. He loves all people, is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes, and he doesn’t seem phased by cats.
Marvin’s foster family says “He’s wonderful! He’s a ball of love and has excellent house manners. We have been crate training him but when he has been uncrated he does great. He enjoys daily walks and is doing well with leash manners.”
Marvin is housebroken, neutered, and up to date on vaccines and preventives. He’s ever so ready for a forever family to bring him home. If you’d like to make this all-around good boy a member of your family, please email kgorman2989@gmail.com for an application.

PUPS GROW into the expectations of their families through love, care and consistent training. This, more than anything, defines their personalities. Young pups can only go to homes with small children where the family is "puppy savvy". and has boundaries for both the pup and the child.
PLEASE REMEMBER: The specific breed of any dog abandoned to a shelter or rescue is only the best informed determination of rescue in agreement with our veterinarians.
CURRENTLY not available for MA. Quarantine

More about this rescue

PHILOSOPHY : Based on an Albert Schweitzer quote

" THINK OCCASIONALLY OF THE
SUFFERING OF WHICH
YOU SPARE YOURSELF THE SIGHT."

SOS Dogs works with a network of excellent rescues in rural America to help alleviate the massive problem of pet OVER- population. The women we work with are inundated with dogs and puppies that otherwise would be euthanized in local shelters It is a deeply saddening fact that dogs and puppies are euthanized for no other reason than simply lack of space, lack of compassion, no regulating laws. We work to have a NO KILL SOCIETY. Until this goal is achieved we will continue to aid rescuers in rural areas place loving dogs into approved homes where they can be valued family members.
