My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tippi is an absolute love bug according to her foster mom. She is a 5-year-old Labrador X Beagle mix rescued by our sister organization in Mexico and now in foster care in Nanaimo BC where she awaits adoption. Tippi was unfortunately hit by a vehicle before her rescue and as a result had to have her front leg amputated. She gets along just fine on three legs however, and enjoys going for short leisurely walks. This little lady, who weighs 34 pounds, is quiet and easy-going, yet forms a strong bond with her human and can tend to become possessive of them when introduced to new people. For this reason, we think Tippi would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner. She has a soft mouth and is food motivated so can easily be distracted when experiencing anxiety encountering new people or experiences. We think she would do well in a home with another doggie friend. Tippi is totally housebroken and enjoys her car rides. She has been spayed, fully dewormed, up to date on vaccines.
