My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zhu Zhu means "little pearl" in Mandarin. This young lady was rescued from the Brooklyn streets in very bad shape. She's been with a foster for several weeks and has bounced back beautifully!

She is very sweet and delicate, and enjoys swishing around her long, bushy tail for dramatic effect. During peaceful moments she carefully crafts slow-rise biscuits on the couch. She is shy around strangers and loud noises but very affectionate with people she trusts.

Zhu Zhu is FIV+, which is a widely misunderstood disease that carries many misconceptions. Cats with FIV can live very long, comfortable lives, it is not transmissible to humans, and it can be only be transmitted to other fixed cats through deep bite wounds (something that should not be happening anyway in a well-adjusted multi-cat home).

The vet estimates Zuzu is around 2-4 years old. She has been spayed and is current on all of her vaccinations.
