My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cooper... a happy and adorable little Shih Tzu who is looking for his forever home. This cute 12-lb. boy is a gem, and his foster mom says he's perfect in every way!

Cooper is just as friendly as can be, and has never met a stranger... human and canine alike. He loves to wrestle and play chase with the other fluffy dog in his foster home. Cooper has the energy level of a 5-6 year old dog, even though we know he is 11-years-old. We feel that Cooper will enjoy having another playful canine companion in his forever home, but would also be content as an 'only dog', as long as he has human companionship during the day.

Cooper is well housetrained, and will sleep in a crate at night. We know he'd rather sleep in 'the big bed', though... snuggling with his new guardians. Cooper walks well on a leash and loves to go for rides in the car.

Cooper is a well-mannered and a well-tempered little boy who has never shown any aggression, and rarely even barks. When he is tired, he enjoys being a couch-potato or just cuddling on a warm lap. His new guardians will indeed be lucky to have this little guy as a member of their family.

Cooper is in good health, and is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, current on his Rabies and DHP/Parvo vaccines. He tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm and flea prevention. He also received a dental cleaning.

Cooper’s adoption fee is $275.00.

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect “forever” home!

If you are interested in Cooper and think he may be your ideal canine companion, please visit our website at foreverhomek9rescue.org for information on our adoption process. To get an application, you can cut and paste this link to our on-line application: http://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application. You may also download an application from our website, or e-mail us at foreverhomeK9rescue@yahoo.com for additional information or to request an application.

Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never “ship” or “transport” our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
