My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MIMI is a very pretty girl, sweet and playful, to people. The same is not true for other dogs. She came to us, terrified of every sound and movement, but has been with us for a couple of months and is now relaxed, happy, and playful, with people. We have tried her with various dogs, older, younger, bigger, and smaller, with the same result. Mimi is not friendly toward other dogs, and is aggressive toward some, although it appears to be softening somewhat but, for now, needs to be an only dog. We have not cat tested her but, personally, I would not trust her with cats, either, as she goes into 'hunting' mode when she sees one. We have not seen Mimi around children but think she would do well with older children, not infants or toddlers. According to her vet records, she is 8 years old and about 40 pounds, spayed, UTD, HW negative, and appears to be an English Setter, perhaps Aussie, mix. She acts much younger and, having spent her life on a chain, is absolutely delighted with TOYS! Mimi has had no accidents in the house, is crate trained, will walk on a leash, loves to play 'fetch', and now will accept affection. She would be a great companion, as an only pet, and will likely bond readily to her people. Mimi cannot go on a regular transport, due to her dog aggression, so we'll need to find a home for her within reasonable driving distance of Coffee County, TN, her current location, or arrange a solitary transport. If you want to meet Mimi, please contact Lucky Break Pet Rescue. Currently located in Normandy, TN. We have an application process to insure that Mimi is a good fit for your family.
