My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Willie! I'm an extremely soft orange tabby who is about 6 years old (as of April 2019). I'm a sweet, friendly, and calm boy who loves to be petted (occasionally, I give little love nibbles, but I am gentle), and my foster mom thinks I will probably be a lap cat. I get along great with other cats. In fact, my brother Winkie (who looks just like me) is also up for adoption, but he is a bit shy until he gets to know you. Once that happens, all it takes is a minute or two of petting and he acts just as friendly and outgoing as me.

We are a bonded pair who love to snuggle with and love on each other, and Winkie gets some confidence from me, so we need to stay together. Calm, respectful kids and cat-friendly dogs should be just fine. More photos here.

I test positive for FIV, which means either I carry the virus or I was vaccinated for it at some point. But guess what? FIV IS NO BIG DEAL! FIV positive cats can live as long as negative cats and may never have any health issues. All we need is good food, regular vet visits, a clean environment, and lots of love! FIV positive cats can also live with negative cats as long as the household is stable and everyone gets along, which is definitely the case with me – I live with my FIV negative friends and we get along great! FIV is spread to other cats through deep, vicious bite wounds that are uncommon outside of intact tomcats (and I’m neutered!) Besides, I'm a lover, not a fighter!
