My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ghost is a sweet orange tabby male whose main goal was to be an inside cat!  He kept trying to get into a family’s home during some of the coldest winter months.  While there were severe allergies in the house, they kept him safe and warm under their deck – and the young daughter would occasionally sneak Ghost into her room.  He is still trying to figure out toys (although his current foster home does find things in his nighttime room “moved” the next morning).  He looks out the windows from several feet away and is very curious about the other cats in the foster home.

This gentle boy is about 18mos-2 years old and is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is negative for both Feline Leukemia and FIV.  He loves to be petted and has great fur!  Having been briefly in his rescuer’s home several times, Ghost is a little uncertain at first around small children, but definitely comfortable and gentle.  The noise and hubbub of four children under the age of 12 may have put him under the table and away from small feet, but when one wanted to pet him, he was up for it!

Ghost is currently eating Purina One dry cat food and a little wet food in the morning and evening.  He has excellent litterbox manners.  Ghost is looking for a family who wants a loving cat who likes to be petted and wants to follow you around and see what you are doing.

More about this rescue

Mission Statement: The Cat Network is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, 501(c) (3), no-kill and life-enhancing cat rescue group. Since 1991, we have rescued and placed thousands of abandoned, abused, stray and shelter cats and kittens in St. Louis, Missouri and surrounding areas. After their rescue, the cats and kittens are provided medical care, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered. Cats and kittens are kept in foster care and then placed in loving permanent homes whenever possible.
