My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Thorn and I am one year old! I weigh approximately 10 lbs, but my foster mom thinks I am a bit slim. Don't worry - I really, really like treats!

I'm REALLY good with my indoor potty manners. I've learnt how to pee on pee pads from my foster siblings, and I can also do my business outside. I am crate trained and can hold it for really long time, but sometimes I have to go so badly. I have had one accident in my crate, and since then my foster parents have put a pee pad in my crate and I know to go on that. Sometimes, I get confused and have accidents on the carpet because they feel like pee pads, but I promise I am working really, really hard to get it right!

I absolutely LOVE my harness - my foster mom says it’s like my super hero cape! It helps me feel safe and keeps me calm in new environments. Because I am still a puppy, I do have lots of energy - I like to play tag with my foster siblings and run around the house by myself. I LOVE LOVE LOVE TUG TOYS. I also know how to play with toys by myself. I’ll even throw my own ball around when the other dogs won't play with me. Since I am still a puppy and don't quite understand boundaries and personal space, I don't think I would be good with cats or small children.

My foster parents think I should tell my future family that once I get comfortable in my new home, I really, really like being near my humans. I’ll sit on my foster dad’s feet while he washes the dishes, or I will sit between my foster mom's legs while she's working. I just want to make sure they are safe and know I am there for them.

They also want me to share that I don't quite understand what a walk is. I don't tug or pull when they walk me, but I only walk half a block with them and then I’ll stop and they have to carry me home. I more enjoy taking the scenic view around.

They don't really know my past history, but I know my forever family is somewhere out there and I can't wait to meet them and show them so much love!
