My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING

Gertrude and Galileo came to us as a serious neglect case. Gertrude was in better shape but dealt with a few unaddressed medical issues. Her brother Galileo had severe injuries to his neck and ear area to the point that he could not lift his head. Thanks to our staff and donations for hospital care, these two have fully recovered and are ready to start a new life with a family who will love and spoil them.

Gertrude is a 7-year-old spayed female with a beautiful diluted calico coat. She is up to date on all vaccinations. Galileo is a 9-year-old neutered white male who is up to date on all vaccines and does not have any residual effects from his injuries. His fur is growing back and he is becoming quite the handsome man.

Both Gert and Gali are sweet, loving cats who love attention and sleeping in the sun. They are being exposed to the hustle and bustle of our office and many ages of volunteers. Neither Galileo nor Gertrude are especially fond of dogs, but we believe they could co-exist if a dog was not interested in them. They have lived peaceably with the other cats in our community cat room. A video is available for viewing on our Facebook page, Aardvark Animal Rescue.

Gertrude needs urinary care food as preventative due to an untreated urinary tract infection. She has no residual effects from the infection and neither Gertrude nor Galileo have any unresolved medical or litter box usage issues.

They are a bonded pair.

These two deserve a home where they can be shown that humans are worthy of trust, capable of love and will never hurt them again. Please contact us if you think you’d like to be the family that changes their lives forever at rescue@aardvarkanimalhospital.com.
