My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poor Max, he thought he had finally found his forever home and wham: Three months after adoption his owner becomes ill and has to return him. So, now he is once again looking for a forever home.

It wasn’t because he did anything wrong. He is house, crate, and leash trained. He is extremely sweet, well behaved, not destructive, and just loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep on the bed with you. Please remember that house trained dogs can have an occasional accident as they adjust to a new routine and a new home.

Max has all these wonderful qualities plus he is so cute or maybe you could say he is so handsome. Just look at that face. You can see so much of lab in his face. He has those wonderful brown eyes with a matching nose. Aren’t those ears just great? His short coat is a mixture of blonde and white. His body is on the low side due to the Bassett in him but even his tail is long and lab like. He weighs in at about 40 pounds.

When you first meet Max he comes across as shy, but as soon as he warms up to you he is as friendly as can be. He gets along well with other dogs and would be prefer a home with older kids. He is five years old and is on the mellow side with an energy range of low to medium.

Are you the family that is just right for Max and willing to give him a home he deserves? If yes, read on!

The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees.
