My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW!

Welcome Cheyenne! Cheyenne is new to rescue and looking for her forever home. She spent the first 5 years of her life living in a cage and then was sold to a backyard breeder where she lived for 3 years pumping out puppies. Surprisingly she is very social and loving. In order to adopt her you must have a SECURED fenced in yard. She would be okay as an only dog if her person was home most of the time, otherwise she would be lonely since she is used to being around other pets. She needs to loose 2-3 lbs which we are working on with a good quality food and she is pretty active so I know she can do it. She gets along well with other dogs but wants her person when you are home and will let you know it when she wants something. Housetraining is a work in progress. If she sounds like the girl you have been waiting for please fill out our application.

We currently adopt in the states of NY, NJ, Eastern PA, DE, and some areas in MD. We can not accept applications from other states at this time.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our adoption application which you can find on our website at www.dutchcountryanimalrescue.org/adopt.html

Our adoption fees are on our application.

All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped.

We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs.

We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.
