It can be completed, saved and emailed back to the rescue at
petrescue@hurontel.on.ca .
1. We require a fully filled app to be considered as a possible home
2. Only the approved app will be permitted a viewing with the pet ** in the foster home 3. ALL family members MUST meet the dog ** in the foster home** .
4. Any existing pets MUST attend the meet/ greet with the dog ** at the foster home ** .
5. A home visit must be completed as part of the adoption process after the initial viewing by a rescue representative.
This is not a replacement of the meet/ greet at the Foster home.
6. We do not adopt outside of ONTARIO .
7. We do not deliver dogs. If and once the adoption process is approved and complete the dog must be picked up at the foster home

WHY IS THIS DOG IN NEED??- This Pet has been surrendered to rescue to be rehomed through our screening / adoption process.
WHERE IS THIS DOG NOW ?- This pet is currently located with his foster in Belgrave area.
**ALL ABOUT DIESEL **
Requirements
-no condos/ apartments / townhouses etc- due him being vocal at times.
-Secure fenced yard
-Active family !
-adult home/ kids 12+
-no small children or visiting young children due to his poor boundaries and respect.
-An existing dog in the home- his size/ energy is preferred unless the dog is solid/ sturdy and is a energy/ personality match.

He has been fully vetted, vaccinated and micro-chipped as he had no vetting done when surrendered.

He has sadly had multiple owners in his young puppy life.
Energy:
Diesel is a high energy boy. He must have an outlet for this .
Food/ Toys:
He is very food motivated and although not defensive he will try and steal others food- so must be crated or tethered. He also struggles with respecting a persons space if one has food- thinking he is entitled and will to sneak it away. We're getting ok with same room feeding but with supervision to not allow him to bowl surf.He is not suited for small children or being around small visiting children due to his challenging approach.
He does well with toys and sharing space.
Training :
Diesel has missed out on the consistent basic training as a young pup to give him a solid foundation .He must have an active experienced owner, that is prepared for a fun-loving, goofy but willful young boy and that is prepared to invest the time and training into him being he best he can be.
Personality :
He LOVES to be with his people and struggles when left alone when everything is new./ strange, so must have someone who is home more often than not, and prepared to help him through the transitioning period when he will have lost everything he knows, and is learning many new things. He is doing better in his foster home with a buddy, being contained to a safe room.
He is a real snugger on the couch and snores. He loves to cuddle. He's very goofy, food motivated needs work on leash walking. Following rules much better although needs continued work.
He really loves people but gets overly excited to meet other dogs and people and takes time to get him settled as he is MR SOCIAL.
He is described by his foster mom as - he's more interested in having fun!! . He's not aggressive just gets over excited ,bossy at times in his antics and clearly got his way when ever he wanted with his previous owners. He is a Very smart boy and picks things up quickly. Just like an unruly child at times. :).
Toys:
Loves toys now. Great in the car but needs to be secure, he wants nothing more then to be close. He loves adventures but needs alot of work on walking. He gets very excited when seeing people or dogs and starts barking and jumping. His focus can be difficult to break. He'd be about 8 months now
Dog/ cats:
He love other dogs but is not the best for having respectful boundaries , but rather thinking he is entitled and pushes the limits. He does take direction well, but is strong-willed to keep with his antics.
He lives with cats... but is best with dog savvy cats- He Tries to play so possible try to chase if they're runners but doesn't want to hurt.
Vehicles:
Great in the car but needs to be secure, he wants nothing more then to be close and will try and join you and help navigate :)
If you think you fit , have the active home and hands on experience to welcome a life of the party kinda guy and help mold him into an even more incredible boy....Diesel is your guy.
