My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marlo was found wandering in east Austin but she was too scared to allow anyone to help her. After about a week of sightings, rescuers were contacted to help catch her. A trap was set but it turned out she was so hungry that a concerned neighbor as able to lure her into her backyard where she could then be snared. She was terrified and wasn't happy about being captured. She spent the night in a kennel and went straight to the groomer the next morning. She was covered in mats over more than half of her body and the spring had brought a zillon sticker burrs that has compounded the problem. No doubt she was in pain out there alone.
But after a groom, she was a new dog! Not only did she look better, but her personality changed immediately. She was so grateful to being comfortable and safe again, she immediately because the sweetest velcro lap dog in the world.
Now that she has regained her trust in humans, she's not real keen to let them go. She has exhibited some separation anxiety and would prefer to be in a home where she doesn't have to spend much time away from her people. She gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids and is content to be close to you. She will absolutely be your best friend. She is a bit larger than our average miniature poodle and will likely be 20-25lbs when she fills out a bit more after street life. But she does seem to be a pure bred poodle or doodle. She will require regular grooming and does not shed much at all. She is working on house training and doing great at it, but still has a few accidents here and there.
