My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

NAME: Dougie
GENDER: Male (Neutered)
AGE: About 1 1/2 years
WEIGHT: About 6 pounds
DOGS/CATS: Gets along with other small dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDREN: Should be great with older, mature children (12 and older)

Meet Dougie. Dougie is an adorable brown Chihuahua (with a white chest). He has a cute “apple head” and perfect ears. And his personality will grab your heart!

Dougie gets along with all of the dogs (both small and large) in his foster home. He fit into the pack immediately, introducing himself politely to each dog! Dougie loves to run and play with his new friends. He also loves to play in the yard and sunbathe.

Dougie loves his family. He actually loves everyone and will be a great social chairman in his new home! He loves to sit and cuddle with his foster Mom and Dad. He is quiet, and fits well into the family routine.

Dougie is about 1 1/2 years old. He currently weighs about 6 pounds but is a little thin. The vet says his perfect weight is about 7 pounds. He is excited to get all the treats he wants right now! Dougie is social and loves being with his family and other dogs. We think he would enjoy having at least one other dog in his new home. There are no children in his home, but we think he would be fine with older, mature children (12 and older).

Dougie is potty trained. We have not noticed any accidents in his foster home. His foster family has a doggy door and he is learning to use that to go into the backyard when he has to potty. Dougie is crate trained and sleeps all evening in his crate.

Dougie is being fostered in the DFW (Texas) area. If this sweet guy sounds like the right fit for your home, our CRT adoption form can be found at: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/

Dougie is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. He is ready to join a loving family – could that family be yours?

This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $250 adoption fee required.

After filling out an adoption application (found at http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/), please email DFWCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com if you are interested in this dog. Please be sure to read about our adoption process and then fill out an adoption application before emailing the contact person.
