Update: Wisdom Panel results: Great Pyrenees 75%/Collie 12.5%/Labrador 12.5%..........Shaggy is an exceptional 16 month old (B.D. 1/24/18) male Great Pyrenees mix. His current caretakers/fosters contacted GPRCI for help in getting Shaggy placed in a a loving forever home. We have been able to meet and spend time with Shaggy since he is located in Bloomington and his temperament and personality are impressive. He is good with other dogs, cats and is known to be good with children. He doesn't know a stranger in regard to meeting people and loves affection and cuddles. Shaggy is learning the fine points of being an inside companion and is partially house trained. He is accepting of a crate when needed.
Shaggy has been fully vetted and is currently about 65 pounds. He will be a 75-80 pound boy when mature and filled out to an ideal weight.
Shaggy is looking for a forever family that will provide him with the time, training, love and commitment every dog deserves. He will be placed as an inside family companion and a securely fenced yard will be required for safe outside time. Shaggy has a history of climbing chain link fencing so privacy or vertical rail fence would be best.
