My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well, my goodness has she every grown. Monse was this small shoe chewing, puppy heathen and look at her now. She is still very much a pup mind you, but good news is she has grown up, bad news is she is now a teenager...oye vey. . This fun and playful girl loves to keep active. She wants her family to know to include her in all her activities. So far, she has proven to be a pro at running, fetching, beach scavenging, gecko chasing, pup wrestling and toy stealing (thankfully she has upgraded to toy chewing vs shoe chewing). If you are an active family, she could be the one for you! Like every great busy puppy, Monse knows when she needs to take a rest and just relax after a long day of shenanigans. She is completely content with an evening cuddling up with her humans or fur friends, taking in the latest Netflix has to offer. She loves people and wants to be one of the family, but she also loves her adult dogs. We’d love to see her in a home where people and furries are around her. She is much too playful to be left to her own devices. Yikes....there go the shoes again. Monse is an all around great pup who loves dogs and kids, and she is house-trained! Woot, woot. As described, Monse is an active little gal who needs room to run, play and explore, so we would love to see her in a loving home with a secure backyard. A dog pal would be super, but failing that, a dog playdate or dog park romps would be essential we think. Monse can go to Edmonton or Calgary areas. No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS)

We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.

NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
