Here at NW Bird Rescue & Parrots For Patriots we strive to place the proper parrot with new adopters. It’s important that the parrot likes you first, moreover that you offer the proper size home for your newly adopted parrot. Not everyone qualifies for a larger parrot, so please review the requirements to adopt found at the top of our adoption application before you submit your adoption application.
We want to make sure that you adopt the best parrot available which would fit your needs as a companion. Again, we strive to place the best parrot available that’s perfect for you and your lifestyle. If you’re interested in adopting within the next 72 hours, then fill out our adoption application as soon as possible. PLEASE DO NOT CALL US before you fill out our application. Norma-Jean is one exceptional and intelligent African Grey. Norma speaks over 30 words, and 15+ sentences so far! We know in her new home, she has the potential to expand her vocabulary and the over 30 different sounds she mimics. Norma is very tame and affectionate, we will NOT allow her to be placed with a breeder, and so home visits are Mandatory for her adoption.
Norma, thrives to be around her humans as much as possible. She is very trustworthy to stay on top of her cage as long as you are in sight of her. Norma truly prefers the company of men and will tolerate a woman for a short period, but we will only place her with a man as her primary care provider.
Norma came to us with an odd type of cage, that wasn’t designed for a parrot, it’s 30 inches wide. We discovered that she likes to be in smaller cage and always near her human man, so we do have a smaller more appropriate floor cage available for her.
