My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trubie is a wonderful 11 month old teenage cat that is ready to go to a special forever home. When Trubie arrived at Saving Grace as a kitten, both of her eyes were ruptured, requiring the eyes to be removed.
Trubie is blind, but that does not hold her back. She gets around just as well as a cat that can see.
Little about Trubie -
She LOVES kids that are gentle and kind to her. When she hears my grandchildren getting out toys, she is right there to join in the play fun. She will even go to the toys on her own and pull out a stuffed animal or hot wheels car bat around.
She likes to "steal" items such as paper, pens, etc and run off with the item.
With other cats it takes her a period of time to become friends. Since she cannot see, she does not have the advantage of reading other cats body language, so it makes her nervous until she knows another cat means no harm.
She memorizes where things are located and navigates the main floor of our house well. At this time, she has not navigated steps, but I'm sure with a bit of training she could do well.
She knows where her litter box is and NEVER has an accident.
Her best buddy here is a kitten named Domino. She likes to play with him and they wrestle just like any other kittens would.
We have 2 small dogs and Trubie is not afraid of the dogs. The actually will try to play with our female dog. That being said, sometimes Trubie will bump into another animal and this can happen with a dog, so we would prefer a home with no dogs or extremely docile dogs. We cannot risk Trubie being bitten if she bumps into a dog by accident.
Preference will be given to an adopter that has experience with blind cats (although it is not required) and to an adopter that will adopt Trubie's BFF, Domino, along with her.

Adoption fee: $150
Trubie's foster home is located in Sykesville, MD
