Meet Olivia!
She’s adorable 3 year old, 45lb piglet aka bulldog mix. Olivia is known and loved for many things, including her expressive face, wild ears, and little pig nose. She is sweet as can be and is sure to steal your heart the moment you meet her.
Olivia came to our rescue suffering from a terrible case of Demodectic (non contagious) mange in addition to secondary skin infections since she went so long without treatment. With good meds and medicated baths, the mange and infections cleared up quickly and she is now 100% healthy! She does have a low grade heart murmur which does not affect her life in any way, it is just something your regular vet should keep an eye on at her checkups.
Livi is a bit of a fearful and naturally cautious girl. She is easily startled and takes time to warm up to new people. Once you’re in, she will stick to you like glue. But there are times where she is suspicious of a person, noise, object etc.
This girl LOVES to play with other dogs, and she also adores the cats she is fostered with. She does resource guard high value items so we make sure food and chews are given separately.
Olivia is a fantastic hiking buddy out on quiet trails in the woods, but she wouldn’t be a great choice to live in a really busy neighborhood due to her fears. She will thrive in a home that doesn’t have a lot of strangers coming and going often and can provide her with a low key, predictable type of environment.
This smart girl completed a professional group training class where she worked on building her confidence and learning new things. She is a very fast learner and loves to work for food rewards!
