Poor little Annie and her brother Andy were scheduled to be euthanized at the city kill shelter because they were terrifed there. They were brought in as strays and were in absolutely horrible condition. There were mats upon mats of hair, some 6 inches in length and 3 inches wide. They smelled terrible and were very scared. They brought our volunteers to tears upon exiting the shelter with them. Annie is estimated at 3 years old. She looks like a miniature poodle mix and weighs 12 pounds. She is still very scared but has made great progress in her foster home. She will sit by her foster mom or dad on the sofa and she is working on house training and walking on a leash. Annie would enjoy a quiet home where she can learn to trust people again. She has been spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Annie's adoption fee is $650 (that includes ground transport from Houston, TX to the Chicago, IL area). **Annie is currently in her foster home in Houston, Texas.
