My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Belle is a quiet, sweet, easygoing 6 year old purebred Labrador. She is a smart, kind, gentle soul. She is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP-L), microchipped, and flea-treated. Belle is NOT food nor toy aggressive. She does NOT bark without reason; nor does she dig or get carsick.

Pleasures: Belle's greatest pleasures are playing fetch with rubber rings and balls, playing with other dogs, swimming, going on long walks and is great on a leash. Like most Labradors, she will play fetch all day long always returning the ball. She can also catch midair. She knows 'sit' 'lay down' and 'shake'. She is dog, cat, and child friendly. She was raised from puppyhood in a home with 2 small children and has been exposed to a large assortment of small children over the years that have respect for dogs. She has been an indoor/outdoor dog that has always been allowed to sleep in the house at night. She is 100% housebroken although as with all dogs this will need to be reestablished in her new home.

Shortcomings: Belle is terrified of loud noises. This has caused to her recently develop separation anxiety. She is normally fine being left home unattended but has randomly chewed doorframes trying to get into the house during thunderstorms, fireworks, or gunshots. Belle has slight incontinence due to her being spayed at an early age. It is easily and 100% effectively managed with her medication (Proin) at a cost of roughly $60 for a 3 month supply.

Perfect Home: Belle's perfect home will be with a person or family that is home most of the day so she won't be left alone for periods of time over 4 hours. She needs a large yard and would love a playmate; a dog that LOVES to play like she does. A pool would be awesome as she loves to swim. Belle needs a job. She will do best living in an area that does not allow fireworks and rarely has loud noises like thunder or gunshots. She will need a household that can afford her medication.

Her adoption fee is $250 (cash only). If you apply and feel you have not received an application, please check your junk email.
