My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SIRI CALISTA - ADOPT THE GOOD LIFE

SIRI is an all-around awesome dog! She recently attended a charity event where there was a large crowd with a band playing - as you can imagine, even the most well-behaved dog has a challenge maintaining balance in a high-energy setting. Siri was sweet with everyone she met, and stayed calm through the entire evening. She's quite the social butterfly.

Siri is currently in a loving foster home that cares for other dogs and is doing well . As with all herding breeds, loyalty is key. If you research the key traits of a Picardy Shepherd (Berger Picard) , you’ll see they are known and described as: lively, alert, observant, energetic, confident, mellow, and even-tempered, However, herding breeds can also be assertive and stubborn. They are active and require exercise and socialization. Looks like Siri may enjoy a good swim for exercise. Her foster mom is a dock diving fan, and spend time with her in the pool.

Siri will also require regular grooming. Prior to coming into YLDR, she had not been regularly groomed. Her Foster Mom had her groomed, and some of her photos show her with a stylish, shorter cut. It will grow back quickly, and she is super beautiful with either "hair do."

Picardy Shepherd is not a breed option in the PetFinder data base (they are rare in rescue) which is why it is not listed in her breed identifier.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested and kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
