Rico is a super happy to be alive 2 yr old boy. He is great with other dogs and loves to play but at the same time can be mellow and laid back. He would love a home where he can shower his people with love and another doggie friend to play with. He is house trained, kennel trained and knows a few commands. He has good house manners and can be trusted on his own. He enjoys easy walks and car rides. Rico's owner neglected him and when he became sick from starvation and mange he took him to the shelter to be put to sleep. But the staff fell in love with him and did all they could to save his life. As you can see he has recovered and is a beautiful boy. Sadly due to the neglect his kidneys did suffer some damage and he will not reach his golden years, dogs with kidney damage can live 1-4 yrs. Rico is a wonderful, very happy fellow and would love to be part of your life for the time he has left.. Rico is not on any medication but does require a special diet. Can you open up your heart to include this special puppy in your home. His adoption fee is only $250, a small fee to give this wonderful boy a happy home.
