My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adult, spayed female, domestic shorthair, gray tabby. Shadow was originally surrendered with her brother “Smokey” because the family was moving and couldn’t take them along. Smokey was adopted quickly but Shadow took a bit longer to settle into the shelter and was adopted but unfortunately the person didn’t feel she was bonding with her and returned her to us. Now Shadow is getting settled into the shelter again and we know eventually we will see her cuddly, loving personality shine again. She already jumps down from her high perch to greet the familiar volunteers as they come into the shelter. Shadow needs a patient home that understands it takes time to adjust and become trusting. She is a gentle girl who is playful and especially likes the laser light. With time, we know a bond will develop and she will be a loyal companion who will jump in your lap and stretch up for a hug on your shoulder. The volunteers are giving her the extra love and attention she needs while waiting for her ideal, purrfect home that is quiet with no other animals.
