My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mallory, a stunning Belgian Malinois Mix born in July 2017. Mallory has faced challenges in the past that have made her cautious around people, but this has only made her more appreciative of those who show her kindness. While she may take some time to build trust, her loyalty and intelligence shine through once a bond is formed. Mallory is open to the idea of sharing her forever home with a furry companion or two, with the condition that introductions are done thoughtfully to ensure a harmonious living situation for all. While she welcomes the company of dogs, Mallory prefers to be the sole focus and would thrive in a household without human or feline siblings. Are you prepared to embrace this bright and perceptive girl into your family? Take the first step by submitting your application today and discover the true meaning of loyalty!

All dogs adopted through Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue receive the invaluable benefit of lifetime free behavior training from our skilled Positive Reinforcement/Relationship-based trainers. For a seamless and successful transition, Mallory will be enrolled in training sessions at the time of adoption and will continue with scheduled sessions post-adoption to ensure her continued growth and well-being.

The suggested adoption donation for Mallory is $250. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes.

Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.

Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.

More about this rescue

Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, Inc. is a not for profit organization formed in 2014 by a small group of devoted animal lovers, in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area, with many years of rescue experience wanting to make a difference in the lives of dogs. Our rescue focuses on small breed dogs, less than 35 pounds, of any age. It is all volunteer based, and all of our rescue dogs are living in the homes of our volunteers.
Our rescue is unique in that we offer supportive services, such as education and training, to owners considering relinquishing their pet in an effort to try to keep the dog in their home whenever possible. We also educate and offer placement assistance to owners attempting to rehome their pets through social media sites, which can often be risky for the pets as well as the owners.
