Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Phoebe is a darling 10-11 month old red female with cropped ears and a docked tail. This darling came to us as an unclaimed stray from a county shelter. We are stumped as to why someone wouldn't reclaim this little treasure. The saying is "Big things come in small packages" and Phoebe is no exception. This precious petite girl is amazing! She steals the hearts of everyone who meets her. She gets along famously with other dogs but has not been tested with cats. Phoebe is a perfect house guest in her foster home, she has proven to be 100% house trained and is also crated trained. She eats in her crate and views it as her safe spot. Given her young age, she has been crated when left unattended so she doesn't get herself into trouble. Her foster dad owns a dog daycare and she has yet to meet a dog she doesn't click with. Phoebe has typical energy for her age, she is just a baby after all. It is apparent that she hasn't been exposed to a lot in her short life and has more than likely had some negative experiences with humans. She can be timid when meeting new men, but overcomes her fear quickly and is a non discriminate snuggler once one earns her trust which can be bought via a high value treat or some kind words coupled with a gentle touch. She is the embodiment of resiliency, taking any new situation as an opportunity to learn. She does not respond well to loud voices or raised hands but once she learns that all humans are kind, her shrinking from loud noises should subside. Phoebe is a clean slate, ready for an owner who is kind and gentle and prepared to take on the adventures only an adolescent red female Doberman can deliver. She will need an Owner who is willing to teach her obedience requests through positive rewards based training and help shape her remarkable spirit into the beautiful balanced working dog she was born to be.
