My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You had me at "We have tons of dog toys at our house for you to play with". My previous owners surrendered me to Desert Lab Retriever Rescue because of some busy stuff going on at my old house, but I have said, "That is just life", and by the way, I love life!!

You know what else I love?
*I love playing tug-o-war with my foster brother, Kirby, with the 50 plus toys he has here at the house.
He is 3 1/2 and we already love playing together.
*I love kissing my humans (but I respond to "no" if you don't like that sort of thing)
*I love being called a good girl when I go potty outside with my foster brother and sister
*I love playing fetch and I will drop the toy if you say "Give it"
*I love showing off how I can sit, wait, down-stay, and even "pray before eating" (along with my foster bro and sis) because I passed Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Obedience training (yep, I'm very likely gifted) *I love going for long walks (which my foster parents say I need more of since, at 85 lbs., I may be about 10 pounds overweight).
*I love going swimming in the pool, and I'm a really fast swimmer

My name is Kona, and I am a 2 1/2 year old dark chocolate (isn't dark chocolate good for humans?) girl who loves life. I'm not sure how I respond to little kids or cats, but I'm willing to try. My foster parents heard that I am good with a doggy door, but they don't have one, so they can't say for certain. I am perfectly healthy with no known medical issues.

If you want a chunk of chocolate in your life who happens to love life, maybe we could love life together.
