My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Beagle lovers! I am Lorna, and although I might not look a lot like a Beagle, you can be sure that Beagle blood runs through my veins! I have a bit of an underbite, but that just makes me even more adorable!

I was found abandoned outside with my puppies beside me. They all got forever families, and now it is my turn! Hurray! I can’t believe my luck- going from living outdoors, covered in ticks, fleas, and dirt, to being an indoor, healthy, loved dog!

Foster mom says I am very smart and patient. I am potty trained and crate trained (although I don’t really like the crate), and I love to sit beside you and cuddle. I love other dogs, and especially puppies. I get along great with the house full of beagles that I currently live in! The only things I really don’t like are fireworks, loud noises and sudden movements. Those things are scary!! When it’s time for the people to eat, I’ll watch every bite, but I don’t jump or beg, I just watch in case something drops.

Foster mom also thinks I would be a good therapy dog with some training. I have a lot of empathy, and stick close to her side if I think something is wrong. I even gave her a kiss on the exact spot where her ankle was hurting! Even my bark is very soft and quiet, like life should be lived as a whisper and not a shout. I am a mighty hunter though! My favorite is to go after those pesky flies (sky raisins!). I can snatch them out of the air with swiftness and precision!

To sum it up, if you are looking for a girl who is well trained and very trainable, who loves to cuddle and be close to her people, and who is super smart and grateful to be rescued, then I’m the girl for you! Ask to learn more about Lorna from your adoption counselor!

Love, Lorna
