My story

Lexi is a sweet jet-black little lady with an adorable bobbed tail. She came to the Goathouse from the Lee County Animal Shelter in 2019 and was initially very shy and skittish. She's come a long way over the past few years and has learned to be more trusting of humans. She still has a skittish streak but will come to you if you have treats in hand; because she's easily motivated by food and treats, we are confident that Lexi has tons of potential to bloom in the care of a patient, consistent home environment. If you think you might be a good match for Lexi, be sure to seek her out when you come to visit the Goathouse, and bring along some treats to share with her, too!

Approx. DOB: 07/01/2019

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
