My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Ginger is a young, beautiful, raspberry stealing, goofy girl who is looking for her forever family here in the Seattle area. Currently she is enjoying life in Edmonds, Wa and is due to be spayed on Mon July 15th :) She LOVES to run and roll in the grass and being outside with her people. She is great with other dogs- wants to play but is currently very submissive when they try to reciprocate,  we think she would enjoy a 4 legged sibling but would also do fine without.

Ginger is crate trained and stays in her crate when her family are out and during the night when she is sleeping. She is very quiet in her crate and feels it is her safe space. She doesn't bark a lot unless she feels she needs to protect the yard and then she will let you know. She is very responsive to correction and food motivated so training should come very easily.

As Ginger hasn't met any cats yet we aren't sure how that might go, her foster mum thinks she is likely to want to play with them!  She is a young dog who hasn't had the chance to learn many manners yet but is working on not jumping up and sit. She might do better with older children as she gets excited when friends come to visit and currently wants to lick their faces to say hi- however if you have young kids let's chat!

Ginger was rescued from a shelter in rural Louisiana and missed the flight with her siblings in Dec as she wasn't well enough to travel. Now she is healthy and really wants to find her own family! Her ideal folks would be willing to go to a local training class to continue her doggie socialization skills, be willing to keep up her crate training, have enough energy and patience to deal with her puppiness and enough love to shower her with the attention she so deserves. If that sounds like you please read on for info on how to apply!

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $375 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
