Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ANYA is a sweet 5 year old white/gray 11 lb Shihtzu/Lhasa mix. I am still not clear the difference between these breeds. Somehow, this sweetheart landed at the county shelter clinic with ear and eye infections. If you are interested in giving ANYA a "forever home, please complete the adoption application on this site. Her adoption fee is $250. Responses only to those who submit an application ------> https://goo.gl/KSGnZ2
ANYA's IDEAL HOME: This girl needs a home who is familiar with this breed and all the care that goes along. If you have never owned a Shihtzu, you probably need to consider a different breed as a pet.
ANYA'S PERSONALITY: Anya never met a dog or person she didn't love. She is fine with cats, too. She is a quiet girl and has great house manners. She is content at whatever you want to do. She likes going for walks on cool morning, but is content to watch the early show while she gets her morning massage. She is the perfect age for Doggie School. She should be happy with mature gentle children.
AYNA'S Health. This girl was previously spayed, but our veterinarian gave her a dental cleaning and she lost NO teeth. The customary antibiotics seemed to be ineffective in treating her ears and eyes, so we took her to a specialist, at considerable expense. They determined that Anya has dry eye. This condition does NOT go away. She will need to be treated with frequent eye cleaning and eye drops the rest of her life. The specialist determined that her ear problem is due to allergies. She is on an allergy medicine and there is much improvement, but she cannot stay on that for life. We are limiting her diet to determine what she is allergic to. Before submitting your inquiry about Anya, please speak to your veterinarian about treating Anya. We will require some type of input from your veterinarain before approving this adoption.
This may seem like a lot to ask, but we, at RoRescue, are dedicated to putting the needs of the dog FIRST and making their future better than their past.
All RoRescue dogs are UTD on shots, Micro chipped and spayed/neutered. Full Blood Panels are NOT customarily performed, unless illness indicates or veterinarian suggested.
RoRescue adopts only INDOOR pets. We do NOT adopt to out-of area or out of state locations.
Please be patient with us as we are all volunteers who hold full-time jobs (other than rescuing dogs).
RoRescue's job is to find the best suited home for their rescue dogs habits and personalities. Many times there are multiple GREAT applicants for one dog. Please understand that only one adopter can b
