My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jinxie is a young bouncy dog with puppy like energy. She is just over a year old. She is very smart and inquisitive. She can be equally stubborn as she is quite intelligent (likely an attribute of her brains!). Jinxie knows how to sit, shake, down, wait and heel. She has excellent leash manners when it is just the two of you. Jinxie is learning not to jump on people when she excited. She is potty trained and crate trained. She is very good about going in and is quiet while crated. She likes car rides too!
Jinxie has a tendency to bark in new/scary situations if she is overwhelmed (although this is already improving in the short time she has been in her foster home) and is quickly remedied with a little patience. Jinxie has met several dogs (20lbs-80lbs) and has done great!! She is SUPER PLAYFUL!!!! She loves toys and other dogs!
She is a typical GSD and will follow you around the house and nap outside the shower or at your feet.
She is currently being fostered in Cupertino, CA with two other female GSD, one cat and one kitten. While she is non-aggressive with the felines (she does have a tendency to chase them and play too rough for them), a kitty-free household would be ideal as she is a bit too much for them. Jinxie would be most successful in a home with confident and playful doggie companion. She loves to play ball, tug of war and hike!
Last week, her foster was out of town and she got to spend a week with Wagtopia, hiking, riding the Wagtopia bus with several other dogs and meeting new people/dogs and going new places!!! The owner of Wagtopia said she was exceptional and fun to have!
Jinxie will need an experienced adopter who understands the breed and the importance of training, setting boundaries and adequate exercise.
