On May 22, 2019, one-year-old Max was crying for help on the side of a road in Otisville, MI. He appeared to have been hit by a car but managed to somehow drag himself to a culvert for shelter from the pouring rain. After much coaxing, Max agreed to some help, & a few days of TLC later, he was able to walk like a champ. From that point on, Max knew he wanted a happily-ever-after house of his own.

Max is a very easy-going, affectionate boy who befriends people of all ages. He is a sucker for attention & will snuggle up to anyone who will lend him some love. Max is a perfect traveler & would likely be happy accompanying his family to & fro; he prefers to always be near his people & is loyal & appreciative beyond measure. Be ready for lots of rubs & purrs from this handsome little black panther!

Although Max is FIV+, his health should not be hindered if provided a safe, indoor home. Furthermore, he can enjoy a harmonious cohabitation with FIV- cats because of his gentle demeanor. Max is truly a gem & would gladly claim the role of “best friend” if given the opportunity. His nickname is “Shadow” since he wants nothing more than to be by someone’s side.
