FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME NEEDED!!
Lab/Canaan Dog mix / 6 months / spayed / low energy
Meet Donny!
So funny boy and so cuddly
Potty trained
So playful
Does so well with other dogs , kids and people
Not tested with cats
At the beginning of September, Donny will be arriving to Toronto from Bahrain looking for a foster-to-adopt home! As a foster-to-adopt family, you’ll be expected to take him home on the same day he arrives. You will then have two weeks to get to know your new furry house guest before committing to adoption.
At the end of two weeks, if you chose not to move forward with adoption, we simply ask that you continue to provide a safe and loving home until their new forever family can be found.
Each bio was created by our rescue partners based on their interactions with the pups. Many of these dogs are coming directly from the shelters and so you should expect there to be a transitional period. Be prepared to deal with common issues like potty training, leash walking and socialization of shy dogs. Cat and kid safety assessments are based on their personality and may not necessarily on actual interactions. All dogs will be vetted prior to coming to Canada.
Remember, Donny can only come if we have a committed foster-to-adopt family! If you back out at the last minute, please understand your dog will then miss out on his or her chance to come to Canada. If you are not 100% sure you are ready to commit to fostering, please don’t.
During your foster-to-adopt trial, you’ll receive the support of a Canine Haven's mentor to help you through the transition and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
If you’re interested in fostering with the intention of adopting, please apply
Foster-to-adopt families will be required to pay a $100 deposit on the adoption fee and sign our foster-to-adopt waiver in advance. If you choose not to adopt, your $100 will be refunded provided you see your pup through to adoption.
