Hi, My name is Kahlua, but you can call me Koko for short.
I just celebrated my 6th birthday on August 8th, this is the first time in 6 years I have experienced a birthday outside of a cage. For the first years of my life I was a breeding dog, for that reason I am shy and timid. I need to have a furry friend in my new home so I can learn how to be a real dog by watching them.
My new family must be patient, calm and committed to loving me where I am at, even if I never learn to be “normal.” When the other dogs in my foster home get excited and playful I sometimes try to engage with them, this is when I am the liveliest. I also follow my foster sibling’s cues on how to handle humans, I will greet my foster mom when they do and lick her hand in excitement.
Do you have a heavy dose of patience and a calm, quiet home with another dog and a soft bed I could curl up on?
