Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We named this dainty little girl Sweet Pea because, well, she’s so sweet, but we also thought about naming her Velcro because she will stick to you wherever you go. Sweet Pea is a well-behaved, low maintenance dog who wants nothing more than to sit quietly in your lap. Well, not quite “nothing” more. She would also like an occasional tummy rub and as many dog treats as you are willing to give!
Sweet Pea is a quiet, happy girl who gets along with everybody. Her foster home has 11 cats and 4 dogs—including a giant 85-pound dog—and Sweet Pea gets along with everybody. Her best friend in the house is a little kitten. She is a very contented dog and rarely barks, though she might croon a bit from time to time, like when you leave to go to work. She’s just singing the song of doggie sadness because Dogmom’s gone, and she stops quickly. She doesn’t chew and she has no destructive habits. She sleeps through the night in Dogmom’s bed snuggled up very closely to her.
Sweet Pea is a bit sneaky about getting your attention. You’ll sit down to watch TV, and two minutes later you’ll realize you’re petting Sweet Pea without knowing when and how she got into your lap. She’s a little fearful of new people at first, but she gets over it very quickly as she is willing to love anyone who loves her.
Sweet Pea would be a great dog for a senior or someone wanting a very snuggly small dog. Because she is so quiet and non-destructive, she would make a great apartment dog. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance snuggle bunny of a dog, Sweet Pea may be for you.
