My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is guessed to be a 5-year-old Bluetick Coonhound/Beagle mix. She is the perfect size at only 45#! She was surrendered to a rural shelter after her owners went to jail. Lucy walks with a limp from an old fracture that never received medical attention. However, her limp leg does not slow her down one bit! She still enjoys running with her foster siblings, playing tug-o-war, and protecting the yard from squirrels. Lucy is dog and kid friendly. No cats. She is house and crate trained but will howl (briefly) when you leave her. For this reason, she is not for apartment dwellers.
