Meet Angelo: this handsome terrier mix boy is about 4 years old and weighs approx. 34 pounds.. He is quite tall and looks like an overgrown Jack Russell. He was rescued from a parking lot of a business off of Highway 59 with his presumed brother and another dog. We assume that they were dumped there. He is a little shy around new people but loving and sweet once he gets to know you. He gets along well with other dogs in his foster home but has not been tested around cats. Angelo is a ball player and he is often seen with a ball in his mouth. He also loves to walk and would do well in an active family. He does pull at first on a leash but soon settles down and often easily walks for 5 miles with his foster mom. When first rescued, Angelo was Heartworm Positive. He is now negative but has a slight heart issue as a result. However, this is improving and obviously doesn’t stop him from being the active terrier that he was meant to be.
He sleeps in a crate at night at his foster home and is loose with the other dogs in the house during the day. Angelo would love to find a home with another dog he can play with. He is looking for a moderately active family to involve him in their daily activities and spoil him a bit to make up for the rough start he's already had.
