Meet Holly! Holly is a sweet girl that loves attention. She likes her toys and playing chase and will lay and cuddle after a good run or exercise. She especially loves belly rubs and is definitely a chewer. She would love it if you gave her things to chew on like bully sticks, kongs and antlers. Otherwise, she just might find things to chew on herself! She may need gentle reminders regarding what is and is not okay to chew on. Holly is great in the car and loves to lay in the back seat on car rides. She would love to join you on daily outings or road/camping trips! She could also keep up with you on hikes or backpacking trips. She would make a great adventure companion!
Holly is a bit of a tomboy and loves to play rough and wrestle, so some smaller dogs may not enjoy her playing style. However, she absolutely loves to play and run, so any dog willing to play would be great with her. Holly would love a home where she would get lots of love and attention but is also crate trained and does well in her crate. Due to her heavy chewing needs it may be best to keep her crated when not home to prevent any destructive chewing. However, she may just need more activity and exercise to tire her out and keep her mind and body stimulated. Holly will make anyone willing to give her the home she deserves very happy and entertained for years to come!
As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Holly's adoption fee is $425 which includes transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
