My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pun is a Jericho’s Wish dog that was adopted out as a puppy in 2013. Pun was raised with teenagers growing up (his human siblings). Pun also was great to his siblings new son.

Pun’s family was evicted from their home and where they are staying they can not take him back. Right now, he is with me in my house. He gets along with my female dogs but not my males. My males will not accept him and he will not accept them.

From losing his family, he ended up with separation anxiety issues. In my house, he has to go into a room with the door shut because of my dogs and cats. When he is in the room with the door shut, he panics. When he’s in the room with the door open he will whine but does ok. Unfortunately, in my house having the door open is not an option, which is also not fair to him. Being in a household where he does not get along with the other males is also not fair to him.

Pun loves people of all ages. He does have a very strong prey drive and will pull if he sees a squirrel. We are trying to get him used to a gentle leader to fix the pulling.

Pun is a special dog to me that requires a special home. I’m hoping to find him a home where he can be the only pet to a couple that works different shifts to help him feel not abandoned again.

He does know sit, shake and stay and will listen as long as there are no squirrels near him while you’re asking him.

He needs a stable, loving home to get over this. If you would like to meet him, please email or call.

Serious inquires only, he doesn’t need to be abandoned again.
