My story

(Special Adoption Fee) My name is Hunter, and I am a beautiful tabby boy. My estimated date of birth is mid-March 2017. My mom was a feral kitty that lived at a junkyard, but some nice folks helped me escape that life. I am a little bit shy at first, but I love to receive attention which will only make me sweeter. I love belly rubs! I get along great with all my foster siblings. I am ready for my own home now!

Are you interested in adopting Hunter or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.

Completed applications can be sent via email to , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).

We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application.

Thanks for thinking adoption!

Go meet their pets

CATS and KITTENS: Our adoptable cats & kittens are at the Luv-A-Pet Centers at PetSmart, White Oak in Garner and in PetSmart Goldsboro).

Cats can be seen during regular store hours by asking a manager or by appointment, with JCAPL. On Saturdays between 10am and 2pm, JCAPL volunteers bring additional cats and kittens to the Luv-A-Pet Center at the Garner location.

We do rotate our cats and kittens regularly so if you see a cat or kitten online, but do not see them at Petsmart, they are most likely taking a break at their foster home. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about the adoption status of specific cat or kitten.

DOGS and PUPPIES can be seen at the PetSmart at White Oak Shopping Center from 10:00 am until 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays every other week, or by appointment with individual foster homes.
