Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Diane is a very scared girl who does not show well at adoption events - too scary and so many people! Diane needs a patient mom and/or dad (adult only home) who will give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and loved. She does best with a single person but can learn to love others with time, patience, and treats, but with visitors, she may need to be put in another room - she barks and may nip. She’s a 4-6 year old chihuahua mix who was found in a vacant apartment. Once she’s settled in, she’s very sweet and loving with the people she chooses to love but still will nip at the ones she hasn't chosen to love. We know she's a tough one and adoption events do not showcase her well at all.. It just takes time and it will take someone who can see beyond her scared exterior and win her over. We know it can be done so we just have to find her match! If you think you might be a match for Diane and are interested in possibly adopting from Recycled Doggies, please complete an adoption application through our website: www.recycleddoggies.org. THAT IS THE FIRST STEP IN OUR PROCESS. Please do not just show up at an adoption event and expect to adopt a dog that day - we need time to review your application ahead of time, which is why we ask that you submit your application ahead of time so you don't miss out on the dog you are hoping to adopt while you wait for your application to be reviewed. Our adoption fee is $195. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 9 months of age), and microchipped. We do not adopt outside our area, which we define as two hours drive time from downtown Cincinnati (zip code 45202 - use Google Maps to determine if you are within our area) NO EXCEPTIONS. This is for the safety of our dogs, so that in case an adoption does not work out, we can be sure that we can quickly get our dog back. We do not have a shelter or facility - all of our dogs live in volunteer foster homes. In order to not infringe on any more of the time of our foster families, we introduce our dogs to potential adopters at our weekend adoption events posted on our website - please do not request to meet the dog outside of an adoption event as we are unable to grant the request. If you have additional questions, please email recycleddoggies@gmail.com.
